Yes—absolutely. By the end of this 24-hour course, most students are surprised at how much they can say. You’ll be able to handle everyday situations like asking for help, giving directions, ordering food, sharing likes and dislikes, talking about what you’ve done, what you’re going to do, and what you must do. You’ll express time (today, tomorrow, yesterday, days, dates, hours), explain what you can or can’t do, describe your location and feelings, and ask questions with words like who, what, when, where, how, how many, which. You won’t be 100% fluent yet, but you’ll speak with confidence because you will have acquired the foundation to not only survive, but thrive in real conversations.

Not at all. We know life happens. If you miss a class, you can catch up with the recorded session, available for at least two weeks. For extra support, you can book discounted one-on-one tutoring to cover the missed lesson, or get our on-demand course at a special reduced rate so you never miss a topic.

The program is 24 hours total, spread over 16 weeks (1.5 hours per week). Each course has a fixed day and time, with multiple schedules available. New groups open four times per year—once each season.

Yes! As long as you have a device and an internet connection strong enough for video calls, you’re good to go. Many students connect from mobile hotspots, cafés, or while traveling. And remember—if you miss a class, we’ve got several options to keep you on track.

Groups are capped at 12 students, with an average of 8–10. This size ensures plenty of speaking practice and personal interaction. Every class focuses on active participation, with structured oral exercises that get you speaking Spanish from day one.

This is a fully live, online course with a certified instructor. However, you’ll also have access to our on-demand courses at a steep discount, perfect for review or previewing topics before live sessions.

Who are the instructors, and how are they trained?
All instructors are native Spanish speakers with university backgrounds and teaching experience. More importantly, each one is certified in the Cortez Method™ system. They complete a rigorous 10-level training program and shadow experienced teachers before leading their own groups. Ongoing training ensures every class meets our high standards.

We recommend using a laptop, desktop, or tablet for the best experience, since instructors share screens and visuals throughout the class. A phone works fine if you’re on the go. You’ll need a stable internet speed of at least 3–4 Mbps for video calls—most home Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and hotspots meet this requirement. For clear audio and hands-free participation, we also recommend using headphones or a headset during class.

Yes! Classes are scheduled in U.S. Central Time, but you can join from anywhere in the world (as long as your country allows access to U.S.-based platforms). Just convert the schedule to your local time zone.

Once you complete the Introductory Course, you can move on to our Mastering the Tenses program. This next step covers all major verb tenses—present, past, imperfect, future, conditional—as well as compound forms, commands, advanced structures, and rich vocabulary. Many students triple their communication ability by continuing. Of course, you can also stop here with confidence, knowing you have a solid foundation for real-world conversations.
